Pool History & Amenities
 In 1956 the Myerstown
Lions Club decided to build a community pool. Upon it's completion in 1957,
they gave ownership of the pool to the Borough of Myerstown but continued to
manage the day-to-day operations.
The pool is 12ft deep at one end and
3ft deep at the other. A "baby" pool, 2 ft deep, is situated close to but
separate from the main pool.
Through the close
working relationship of the Myerstown Council and the Myerstown Lions Club, the
Council added a Bath House and Snack Bar to the grounds in 1968. These
additions continued under the supervision of the Lions Club.
The Bath
House includes showers, sinks, mirrors, toilets and benches. Warning -- COLD
WATER ONLY!
The Snack Bar is open during pool hours and offers hot dogs,
pizza slices, nachos w/cheese, funnel cake, soft pretzels, Italian ice cups,
bottled water, Wengert's Drinks, chips, candy and
popcorn.

Both the Council and the
Myerstown community at-large are deeply appreciative for the many services the
Myerstown Lions Club, Inc. have provided over the past 50 years. Their
generosity and many efforts on behalf of the community will always be
