AVAILABILITY AND
ACCESS
All public records of Myerstown Borough shall be
available for inspection and copying at the Myerstown Borough Office during
normal business hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Myerstown
Borough Office is closed for the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial
Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving Day,
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Requests for public records of
Myerstown Borough shall be in writing and directed to the Open Records Officer.
Written requests shall be on a form provided by
Myerstown Borough. A clear and detailed description of the records to be viewed
shall be provided.
FEES
Paper copies shall be at the cost
set by the Office
of Open Records of the State of Pennsylvania. link

RESPONSE TO REQUEST
Myerstown Borough will make a good faith effort to provide the
requested public records within the 5-day window as set by the Right To Know
Law. If a 30-day extension is needed, it will be requested by the Borough of
Myerstown in writing.
APPEAL PROCESS
If a written request is
denied or deemed denied, a right to appeal can be made in writing to: Terry
Mutchler, Executive Director; Office of Public Records; Commonwealth Keystone
Building; 400 North Street 4th Floor; Harrisburg, PA, 17120. The requester may
file exceptions with the Myerstown Borough Council within fifteen (15) business
days of the mailing date of the Borough's denial. The exceptions shall state
grounds on which the requester asserts that the record is a public record and
shall address any grounds stated by the Borough Council for denying the
request.
